ARTIST PAINTER, born in 1963 in Paris. He has always painted during his childhood. At age eight he obtained a first prize as young talent in the Childhood Museum of Paris in which his masterpiece is still exhibited. Lately, many of his paintings have been exhibited either in the Renoir Brasserie or in different Parisian art galleries where connoisseurs have bought many of his canvas. Painting has always been his passion and life objective.
Now he is living in Antibes in the French Riviera, where he paints stylized subjects with very thin brushes, oil painting on linen canvas. His paintings are made of abstract forms with geometrical drawings including refined colours. They look like puzzles, cathedral windows or mazes where, very often, the human being activities are shown. Then, the canvas subject appears and is perceived depending on each person. His work is very precise and meticulous. It takes a minimum of sixty hours to the Artist for creating one piece in the smallest size. Presented for the first time in Antibes at Galerie de l’Autour de l’Art, Philippe DORNIC brings us a bright and imaginative world.
